Showing arrogance far exceeding anything in the 2016 presidential campaign, 69-year-old former Mr. World and Universe California Gov. Arnaold Schwarzenegger pounded his chest to the press. “If I’d been born in America, I would’ve run,” Arnold told AdWeek in an interview published today. “Because now? This was a very good time to get in the race,” referring to weakness of both major party candidates, 70-year-old GOP nominee real estate tycoon Donald Trump and 69-year-old Democratic nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. While both candidates have their flaws, they pale in comparison to Arnonld who ran California into the ground [Nov. 17, 2003 to Jan. 3, 2011]. Only two-term 78-year-old Gov. Jerry Brown could clean up the mess Schwarzenegger left the state in chaos near bankruptcy with a whopping $30 billion budget deficit.

Like many of Arnold’s movie promotions, he’s the master of hype, especially to the young inexperienced press, too intimidated to question his outrageous remarks. If only if he were born in the U.S., Arnold boasts, as if he has the domestic and foreign policy skills to succeed in the White House. Judging by his performance as California governor, Arnold has no leg to stand on, even hinting about a hypothetical presidential run. Arnold’s disgraceful affair with his housekeeper Mildred Baena in 1996, resulted in the birth of his lovechild Josepht Baena in 1997, eventually coming to light soon after Arnold left office, breaking up his marriage to President John F. Kennedy’s niece Maria Shriver. Arnold ran for governor after former California Gov. Gray Davis was recalled in a special election Oct. 7, 2003, largely for incompetently managing the state’s power crisis in 2000-2001.

Before Arnold won the recall election Oct. 7, 2003, he was accused by several women of groping them on various movie sets. While denying the charges, Arnold refused to vote for Trump following the Oct. 11 release of a secretly recorded Access Hollywood tape, showing Trump boasting to show host Bill Bush about lusting and groping several women. “For the first time since I became a citizen in 1983, I will not vote for the Republican candidate for president,” said Arnold. “The Terminator #Never Trump vow came a day after Trump’s lewd comments about women,” Arnold Tweeted, breaking new ground for hypocrisy. Adding insult to injury, Arnold takes over NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” Trump’s former show that made him a household name. Arnold’s press event all looks like pre-show hype, showing how desperate NBC has become to replace Trump in “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Arnold’s no more fit to run for president than when Hollywood marketing sold him to clueless California voters in 2003 to replace former Gov. Davis. Arnold showed over his eight years in office much similarity to Davis, running the state into the ground. Wanting to do the same to Washington, Arnold can only speculate what might have been had he been born in America. Judging how he mismanaged the state, he would have done far worse in the White House. Arnold had every right to endorse Ohio Gov. John Kasich who won only one primary, his home state March 15, only because Ohio held an open primary, allowing Hillary supporters to sabotage Trump. Whether admitted to or not, it wouldn’t have mattered whether Hillary ran against Trump or any other Republican candidate. Kasich’s was the last one in the GOP field to command any interest in a general election.

If Arnold ran the White House like he did Sacramento, he would have made special deals like when he commuted the 16-year involuntary manslaughter conviction of Esteban Nunez, son of former California House Speaker Fabian Nunez. Fortunately, Arnold will never get the chance to run the White House. “As proud as I am to label myself a Republican, there is one label that I hold above all else—American. So I want to take a moment today to remind my fellow Republicans that it is not only acceptable to choose your country over your party—its is your duty,” said Arnold, not saying who’d he vote for president in 2016. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) withdrew his support from Trump, like Arnold, after the Access Hollywood tape surfaced. With Trump fighting the media and his own party as much as Democrats, it’s no wonder he’s behind the Eight-Ball.

Arnold’s grandstanding before the election speaks volumes about his PR hype before taking over Trump’s former show “Celebrity Apprentice.” Judging by Schwarzenegger’s past Hollywood and Sacramento experience, he’s not going to have an easy time filling Trump’s shoes. Accused of far worse than Trump by numerous women, Arnold showed he’s up for an Oscar for hypocrisy, especially given the lovechild with his Latina housekeeper. Arnold lacked the education, training and experience to succeed as governor. His arrogance thinking that he’s the right person for the Oval Office defies all logic. “I will make an announcement before the election, you can be sure of that,” said Arnold on NBC’s “Meet The Press” with Chuck Todd. Whether anyone cares for whom Arnold votes is anyone’s guess. Arnold showed he’s too busy promoting himself to care about anything else.
