Inside the Terrorist Mind

olitics and religion aside, Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda terror group is a dangerous cult converting hapless recruits into programmed assassins. Giving a free X-ray into the terrorist mind, Mohamed Atta—the philosophical urban planner who hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 and crashed into the World Trade Center’s north tower—left behind chilling details of his final act. With clockwork-like precision, Atta crafted diabolical instructions for the suicide mission—accidentally left behind in a 5-page note scrawled in Arabic. “Everybody hates death, fears death,” the handwritten note said, “but only those, the believers who know the life after death the reward after death, would be the ones who will be seeking death,” displaying the same zeal used by psychopathic cult masters. “You must release the body to join eternity on the tail of Hale Bopp Comet,” said Heaven’s Gate maniacal cult leader Marshall Applewhite, just before ending the lives of 29 devoted followers. Islam’s new brand of suicide bombers bears frightening similarity to doomsday cults—recruiting victims from an endless stream of human misery.

There’s no shortage of disgruntled religious fanatics living in the third world, where despair and hopelessness rule the day. With unbearable suffering widespread, it’s no wonder that the afterlife looks so good. Faith and religion make otherwise miserable lives semi-tolerable to the legions begging for relief. Islam provides hope and strength to otherwise desperate individuals living on the edge. Mosques and prayer are the only sanctuary from intolerable reality. Despite these conditions, few pleasures—other than worship—are tolerated in Islamic countries. Fingering the decadent “West” offers a convenient scapegoat to regimes unable to provide basic subsistence. No one expresses or exploits this mass misery better than Osama bin Laden. His hateful message hides behind Islam and blames abysmal conditions on Christian “Crusaders” and Jews. Exploiting the Koran, Bin Laden’s evil masquerades as a phony clash of civilizations—the West against Islam.

Indoctrinating recruits with outrageous lies about the West, Bin Laden converts disenfranchised Muslims into his cult of terror. Unlike his poor recruits, he knows— through his wealthy Saudi family—the greatness of America, with their close ties to Harvard University and the oil industry. But stripped of his Saudi citizenship and disowned by his family, Osama burns with rage, lashing out with unrelenting terrorist strikes. His brazen attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon prove that he’s gone mad. Envying his family’s success and ties to the West, Bin Laden’s obsessed with destroying America—not to save Islam, but to salvage his decimated ego for being his family’s black sheep. His obsession with Islam is a feeble excuse to hide his insanity and insatiable fury. His greatest joy is converting helpless youth into programmed assassins and sending them off to commit mass murder. Blinded by his own sickness, Bin Laden feeds on beaten down Muslims looking to escape poverty and despair.

With this in mind, it’s easy to see how Bin Laden’s point man Mohamed Atta promised eternal paradise in exchange for murder and suicide. “Keep a very open mind, keep a very open heart of what you are to face,” said Atta in his carefully crafted suicide preparation note. “You will be entering paradise. You will be entering the happiest life, everlasting life,” manipulating nervous recruits to carry out their mission. One thing’s for sure, Bin Laden’s upper management doesn’t volunteer for active duty as human hand grenades. Using sophisticated mind control techniques, Bin Laden wears down recruits with mindless and exhausting recitations of the Koran. Independent thinking is considered blasphemous. Saturating victims with endless slogans about martyrdom and paradise eventually works. Ultimately recruits are converted into programmed assassins ready to commit mass murder in the name of Islam. Before the hijacking and fiery death terrorists recited, “Oh God, you who open all doors, please open all doors for me, open all venues for me, open all avenues for me . . . There is no God but God . . . We are of God, and to God we return,” displaying how Atta’s diabolical script helped complete the mission. Like notorious Nazi doctor Joseph Mengele, Bin Laden’s sick mind control experiments must be stopped.

Make no mistake, Bin Laden rules a violent cult of religious fanaticism—not, as some think, a legitimate Islamic mass movement. Unlike true revolutionaries, he’s not interested in redistributing wealth or the plight of poor Muslims finding a better way of life. Exploiting human weakness, he demonizes the West solely for recruiting disenfranchised souls into his killing machine. In disbelief, Atta’s father Mohammed Al-Amir Awad Al-Sayed Atta, a Cairo attorney, can’t fathom that his son was a pawn in Bin Laden’s death cult. Confronted with the videotape of his son passing through security at Logan airport before boarding American Flight 11, he insists that his son was framed. Others are also in disbelief over the fact that at least 19 young lives participated in Bin Laden’s deadly suicide mission on Sept. 11. With hundreds—perhaps thousands—of his programmed assassins still on the loose, the immediate threat is beginning to sink in. Hiding behind Islam, Bin Laden runs a dangerous death cult whose true purpose is satisfying his lust for blood. No religious or political mask can conceal this ugly truth.

Politics and religion often mislead people about the true nature of cults. Whether it’s Jonestown or Al Qaeda, the same maniacal leaders exploit the suffering of desperate individuals seeking hope and salvation. Promising paradise in the afterlife dupes broken down souls into committing violent acts. Unlike secular cults, Al Qaeda capitalizes on an endless supply of religious fanatics whose tortured lives make them easy targets for manipulation. Well-educated idealistic recruits like Mohamed Atta remain vulnerable to charismatic leaders like Osama bin Laden. With enough ranting and raving, pressure and coercion, anyone’s vulnerable to cult masters preying on human misery. “I knew Mohamed [Atta] as a guy searching for justice,” said Volker Hauth, a former classmate at Hamburg University, shocked that his good friend helped orchestrate the world’s deadliest terrorist attack. Like Rev. Jim Jones, Bin Laden’s gone over the deep end, and now beckons the West to put him out of his misery. Unable to stop his own killing machine, he’s ready to go down in a blaze of glory. With U.S. and British Special Forces in hot pursuit, his day isn’t far off.
