Tweeting that the Obama administration spied on his campaign in 2016, including wiretapping Trump Tower, 70-year-old President Donald Trump got backed up by conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin, laying out a compelling case against former President Barack Obama. Prompting calls from Trump’s GOP detractors on Capitol Hill, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.) insisted that Trump should produce evidence of spying, despite layers of cover-up by the Obama White House and intel agencies involved in the spying, including the FBI, CIA, National Security Agency, IRS Stingray program, all able to get warrantless private data. “The evidence is overwhelming. This is about the Obama Administration spying. And, the question isn’t whether it spied, we know they went to the FISA court twice. The question is the EXTENT of the spying,” Levin told Fox & Friends Weekend today.

Rubio’s vendetta with Trump due to his failed presidential campaign blinds him from seeing evidence presented by Levin, former Chief of Staff to Reagan administration Atty. Gen. Ed Meese. Levin cites several newspaper stories corroborating Obama’s use of FISA [Federal Intelligence Surveillance Act] court to obtain legal warrants in 2016 to wiretap Trump’s campaign. Citing HeatStreet, The U.K.’s Guradian, New York Times four times and Washington Post, Levin said several respected journals documented Obama’s attempt, most likely for Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign, to dig up the dirt on Trump. “And, I’m telling you as former chief of staff to an attorney general of the United States in the Reagan administration: These are police state tactics,” said Levin, giving the best evidence available that Obama went to FISA court two times in 2016 to spy on Trump.

Protected by his minions, Obama has the intel community covering up what could make Edward Snowden’s 2012 NSA revelations look trivial. When you consider 1978 FISA court was created to investigate foreign infiltration into the U.S. government, abusing FISA court for political purposes goes beyond the pale. “Now, what did Barack Obama know? He knew everything I read to you, apart from one or two articles. You know how I know? It’s in the newspapers!” said Levin, citing the New York Times four times. “It’s right there. So, Barack Obama not only knows this, but he gets a daily intelligence briefing,” said Levin. Levin wants the FISA court record proving either they obtained a legal warrant to spy on Trump or they used the IRS’s Stingray method of gathering warrantless data. Rubio finds no evidence because he’s looking to retaliate against Trump.

With Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, demanding the FBI release its dossier on Trump’s alleged ties to Russia, he completely ignores the growing evidence that Obama, under pressure from the Hillary campaign, spied on Trump. Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton contracted former MI6 agent Christopher Steele to create a dossier on Trump before the Nov. 8, 2016 election. Steele’s fake report was so compelling to Trump-haters like Sen. John McCain (R-Az.), chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, he turned it over to the FBI. Schiff’s so desperate to get the goods on Trump, namely, his alleged ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said FBI Director James Comey was “stonewalling “ his investigation. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) insisted Comey was being “forthright.”

Despite zero evidence from the intel community about Trump’s ties to Moscow, Schiff insists that only by seeing Trump’s tax returns can he verify Trump’s ties to Russia. Schiff wants no part on the very real possibility that the Obama White House went to FISA court on behalf of Hillary to discredit Trump before the election. FBI Director James Comey demanded today that Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions “debunk” Trump’s claims of Obama administration spying on Trump. Trump’s claims, “falsely insinuates that the FBI broke the law,” said Comey, not denying that he went to the FISA court for a warrant to wiretap Trump’s phones. Asking Sessions to “debunk” Trump’s claims, Comey did not deny he sought a warrant from VISA court to spy on Trump. Comey could easily set the record straight by publishing the 2016 FISA court transcript, showing whether he obtained a warrant to wiretap Trump.

Expecting hardcore evidence, Trump’s detractors don’t want evidence, only more ammunition to discredit Trump. Pointing to credible newspaper stories about the Obama White House going to FISA court in 2016 to investigate Trump’s ties to Russia, recent leaks of conversations between former National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn and Russian Amb. Sergey Kislyak raise real suspicions. Intel officials admit they obtained Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak. Whether they were obtained via warrant or “Stingray” warrantless surveillance, raises more suspicions about spying on the Trump campaign. “No president can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put into place to protect citizens from people like you,” tweeted former Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes. Rhodes knows that Obama would ask the FBI to go to FISA court if he wanted to wiretap someone.
