Slamming 63-year-old White House senior strategist Stephen Bannon as a “white supremacist,” 76-year-old 15-term former Congresswoman House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) showed she’s long overdue for retirement. Pelosi famously hit the first African American President Barack Obama’s White House with a wrecking ball on Day 1, insisting he go along with the Affordable Care Act. Together with former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), no one wrecked Obama’s legacy more than Pelosi. When President Donald Trump announced his pick Jan. 31 for Supreme Court, Pelosi hurled the same insults at U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Neil Gorsuch thaN she did at Bannon. Pelsosi’s leftist hyperbole has done more damage to the Democratic Party, helping put Trump in the White House. Pelosi railed against Trump putting Bannon on the National Security Council [NSC].

Pelosi continues former Democratic nominee Secretary of State Hillay Rodham Clinton’s narrative about the Trump: He’s a racist, misogynist and xenophobe. Throwing as much mud as possible, Pelosi showed she’s just as out-of-control now as she was when she bullied Obama into carrying out her leftist agenda imposing national health care on the country. Now she’s spewing outrageous slurs against one of Trump’s closest advisers. “What’s making America less safe is to have a white supremacist named to the National Security Council as a permanent member, while the chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the Director of National Intelligence are told, ‘Don’t call us, we’ll cal you,’” Pelosi complained. Once Hillary conceded defeat Nov. 8, Pelosi’s been on the warpath watching the Democratic Party in shambles after losing the so-called Blue Wall in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Smearing Bannon as a racist fits Pelosi’s pandering to minorities, more paranoid than ever after losing Obama as their president. “It’s a stunning thing that a white supremacist, Bannon, would be a permanent member of the National Security Council and dismissing the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Director . . . of National Intelligence as members,” Pelosi told a Capitol Hill press conference. Fingering Bannon as a racist, Pelosi continues the character assassination without any facts other than paranoid inferences based on Bannon once editing the Breitbart News Website. Pelosi’s specious case against Bannon stems from white supremacist groups liking the Breitbart site. Whether white nationalists or minority leftists, they have preferences for different kinds of news. Trump’s support from white nationalists or their interest in Breitbart doesn’t make Bannon one of them.

Faced with Trump’s presidency, Pelosi can only lash out, making no distinctions between Bannon and Gorsuch. What irks Pelosi and other disgruntled Hillary-supporters is they can’t stop Trump advancing his agenda only by obstruction. Calling Pelosi’s charges about Bannon “utter nonsense,” White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer disputed Pelosi’s charges about Bannon and Joint Chiefs Chairman and NSC director. As Breitbart editor last summer, Bannon told Mother Jones that Breitbart was a platform for the so-called “alt-right,” a codename for white nationalists. Breitbart clarified that a platform for the alt-right gives groups a forum for expressing opinions. Pelosi blamed Bannon for crafting Trump’s immigration ban from seven Mideast and North African countries to help stop terrorism washing up in American Streets. Pelsosi panders to Hillary’s base calling Bannon a “white supremacist.”

Pelosi’s arguments during the campaign, essentially calling Trump a racist, fell on deaf ears Nov. 8. She’s beating a dead horse continuing to smear Bannon without any proof he’s part of any white supremacist group or society. Now that Hillary was sent packing, Pelosi thinks she has liberty to make outrageous statements, fueling the kind of nationwide protests and rioting that erupted at U.C. Berkeley last night. Protesters set fires, destroyed property and rioted to protest a scheduled speech by Breitbart writer MiloYiannopulous. Trump questioned whether Berkeley’s attack on the First Amendment warranted consequences, including a loss of federal funding. When Pelosi and other leftists accuse Bannon of white supremacy, they present no evidence to back it up. Claiming Breitbart was a “platform for the alt-right” has no bearing on Bannon’s personal views.

Bannon’s strategy of targeting white unemployed or underemployed workers in the Rust Belt proved successful for Trump’s unexpected victory. Delivering on campaign promises, Trump’s backers aren’t the ones unhappy about his immigration policies or travel restrictions. Claiming restricting travel to the U.S. from the Mideast and North African runs counter to the Constitution and American values, Pelosi has no problem squelching the First Amendment rights of Bannon or anyone that disagrees with her leftist views. Calling Bannon a “white supremacist” and Trump’s Supreme Court pick an extremist, Pelosi shows she’s no shrinking violet. Her belligerent rhetoric shows the kind of take-no-prisoners approach that damaged Obama’s presidency. To Pelosi, Obama was an expendable tool to advance her leftist agenda of national health care. When the dust settled, she hurt Obama’s legacy.
